Collections of the Department of the Electric Power Industry
The systematic gathering of items from the field of the electric power industry began in the 1980s. There are 11 collections with over 1500 items in the Department of the Electric Power Industry. Three of these collections are used for research purposes. The collections have items from various areas: the production of electric energy, communications, automatization of processes of remote control, protective equipment, mining, and illumination and home appliances before the introduction of electric energy.
In addition to objects, the contents of the collections of the Department are made up of about 500 units of documentary material: studies, projects and blueprints of hydro-power plants; schematics of electric power plants; diagrams of production, consumption and exchange of electric energy, charts of electric power plants and objects, charts of catchment areas, geological and mining charts, photos, and material from books and periodicals.
