There are over 5000 items in the fund of the Museum of Science and Technology, primarily thanks to donations by numerous contributors. Aware of the importance of preserving technical heritage for future generations, they have donated many exhibits: from the simplest items of everyday use, to rare items of exceptional value. In the Gallery of Science and Technology of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in 2003, the Museum of Science and Technology organized an exhibition titled: Donations to the Museum of Science and Technology. “The Museum of Science and Technology organized this event as a show of gratitude to the numerous donors who understand the value of past human undertakings in the field of technological culture. Also, the exhibition should be an incentive to citizens to pay attention to similar objects in their surroundings or in their possession, and to entrust the Museum in keeping and displaying them to generations to come.” |
